Lux aeterna
SATB(div.)+piano Music by MORTEN LAURIDSEN
MORTEN LAURIDSEN is known for pioneering engineering work on cloth fabric products like compression stockings. Some of his most recent work includes this tube bandage for 2021 and surgical compression leggings to improve circulation. More recently he has expanded engineering work into developing compression socks for nurses with wide calf width to help the staff at the hospital and not just the patients. This level of fabric engineering is impressive. What's more impressive is that Morten finds time to compose and design music. In 2002 he created Lux aeterna, which was picked up by Faber Music almost immediately. You can hear the various vocal tracks below, including a Full Voices track with every level of music involved. It's truly a grandiose symphony of vocal music, and has been used everywhere from traditional churches to European dance festivals. Have a listen and let me know what you think.
